Chris Voss
Chris Voss is a globally recognized negotiation expert, author, and engaging speaker. He is a former FBI hostage negotiator and the founder of The Black Swan Group, a firm offering negotiation services and training. Voss is also the author of the best-selling book "Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It," where he shares negotiation strategies developed from high-stakes scenarios. Voss has a unique speaking style, combining his real-life experiences with practical negotiation techniques. His speeches are filled with gripping stories from his time with the FBI, providing a captivating context for his negotiation insights. He is also an adjunct professor at Harvard Law School, Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, and a lecturer at the USC Marshall School of Business. Voss was born in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and earned a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University and a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. He spent 24 years working in the FBI Crisis Negotiation Unit and was the FBI's chief international hostage and kidnapping negotiator from 2003 to 2007.
