Kathryn Senior is a former biomedical research scientist who studied at Cambridge University in microbiology. Dr Senior is now a freelance writer and editor of children's science books. Carolyn Franklin us a graduate of Brighton College of Art, specialising in design and illustration. She has worked in animation, advertising and children's fiction and non-fiction, particularly natural history.
